Eleanor H. Porter
Pollyanna--such a cute book. It was a fun, quick read. Uplifting as well, kinda puts life into perspective a bit.
J.D. Salinger
The Catcher in the Rye--hated this book. I couldn't get into it. I couldn't relate with the character at all and the language made Stephen King look like an innocent child was speaking. I struggled, but I've heard others loved it, so don't let my review deter you from reading it if you are so inclinced. :)
Ally Condie
Matched--Not too bad. It finally picked up toward the middle. It was really predictable for me, but I still enjoyed the storyline for the most part.

Kurt Vonnegut
Slaughterhouse Five--This book kept me engaged because I just couldn't understand why the kid was doing what he was doing. I wanted to get into his psyche. It wasn't my favorite book, and extremely explicit, but overall intriguing.
Matthew J. Kirby
The Clockwork Three--It was a good book. My mom knows the author and his wife, so it was fun to read. I enjoyed reading it...there was even Italian in it! (makes every book better :) )
Agate Nesaule
A Woman in Amber: Healing the Trauma of War and Exile--Wow! It was horrific and shocking, but so real. It is about a woman and her experience of living through the war.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
The Gulag Archipelago: 1918-1956--It was a tough one to read, but very intriguing in it's descriptions of war.
Suzanne Collins
The Hunger Games--A-M-A-ZING!!!! I still dream about this book and even more so now that I've read it twice.
Catching Fire--So good!
The Mockingjay--I just love this series! It's probably one of my all time favorites ever and I will read it a thousand times and it will never get old.

Kathryn Stockett
The Help--I could not put this book down. It was captivating and exciting. I loved every word!
Erin Morgenstern
The Night Circus--This was a pretty good book. It had a few twists that I didn't expect, kept me interested. My friend from Germany knows this author and so it was fun to hear about her firsthand.

Stephen King
IT --I was disappointed in this one. I thought it would scare me a lot more than it did. But it was decent, just not my favorite by Stephen King.
